He is responsible for prevention, surveillance and control of care-related infections (ICAs), as well as training and health education initiatives on the topic. He has also been a member of the Clinical Risk Committee since 2010 and the Quality Group since 2017.<\/p>\n\n<p>He received the Diploma of Professional Nursing from the &#8220;E. Agnelli&#8221; School of Nursing in Pinerolo (TO) in 1995 and the University Master&#8217;s Degree in Prevention and Control of Care-Related Infections from the University of Turin in 2003. She is registered with the Order of Nursing Professions of Turin.<\/p>\n\n<p>It carries out its activities in close collaboration with the Medical Director, working in synergy with infectious disease physicians, microbiologists, hospital pharmacists, nursing coordinators, prevention technicians and health personnel from the various operating units.<\/p>\n\n<p>In his or her role, he or she promotes and monitors the implementation of good hygiene practices-such as hand hygiene, proper use of personal protective equipment, sterilization and isolation procedures-and participates in establishing and updating operational procedures and protocols for infection prevention.<br\/>It also oversees the appropriateness in the use of antibiotics and disinfectants, provides technical-specialist support to departments in cases of isolation or management of infected patients, and participates in clinical audits and ward visits to verify the implementation of control measures.<\/p>\n\n<p>Contributes to research projects and internal epidemiological studies, drafting and updating performance indicators such as infection rates, antibiotic consumption, and adherence to guidelines.<\/p>\n\n<p>Its approach is based on the application of evidence-based strategies, with the goal of promoting continuous improvement in care quality through training, effective communication, and active involvement of health care providers.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":true},"ruolo":[],"qualifica":[75],"class_list":["post-5354","doctor","type-doctor","status-publish","hentry","qualifica-infermiera-specialista-rischio-infettivo"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Paola Bollino - Istituto di Candiolo<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Dr. Paola Bollino has been working at IRCCS Candiolo Oncology Institute since 2004, where she serves as an Infectious Risk Nurse Specialist (ISRI).
