{"id":5160,"date":"2024-12-13T11:24:48","date_gmt":"2024-12-13T10:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irccs.com\/divisioni-cliniche\/breast-surgery\/"},"modified":"2026-04-03T13:42:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T11:42:20","slug":"breast-surgery","status":"publish","type":"medical-area","link":"https:\/\/irccs.com\/en\/divisioni-cliniche\/breast-surgery\/","title":{"rendered":"Breast Surgery"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span  id=\"description\" class=\"h2_anchor\"><\/span>Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Breast Surgery Unit<\/strong> at the Candiolo Cancer Institute is dedicated to the treatment of<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/irccs.com\/en\/patologie\/breast-tumors\/\">benign and malignant breast diseases<\/a><\/strong>, with the dual goal of removing the lesion and, whenever possible, <strong>preserving breast aesthetics<\/strong> to ensure <strong>optimal quality of life<\/strong> for the patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Personalized, Multidisciplinary Approach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each patient receives individualized care based on tumor characteristics, personal medical history, and individual needs and preferences. Treatment plans are defined and reviewed in <strong>multidisciplinary consultations<\/strong>, involving oncologists, radiation therapists, pathologists, radiologists, genetic counselors, psychologists, and surgeons at every major therapeutic step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Decisions are made through ongoing dialogue between the patient and the medical and nursing team of the <strong>Breast Surgery Unit<\/strong>, promoting active patient participation in all therapeutic choices.
