The Radiodiagnostic Service at IRCCS Candiolo is a key reference point for the early diagnosis, staging, and monitoring of oncological diseases. Leveraging state-of-the-art technology and a highly specialized team, the service provides precise and detailed imaging, essential for guiding treatment decisions in an effective and timely manner.

Activities

The Institute employs advanced diagnostic techniques using cutting-edge equipment to support cancer care, including:

  • Diagnostic imaging: CT, MRI, and ultrasound examinations for the prevention, diagnosis, and monitoring of cancer.
  • Virtual colonoscopy: for early detection of colorectal carcinoma.
  • Breast diagnostics: including mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided biopsies.
  • Interventional radiology procedures (including inpatient care), such as embolization, chemoembolization, drainage of biliary or urinary tracts and abscesses, percutaneous biopsies, and vertebroplasty for spinal surgery and degenerative disc disease.

These examinations and procedures are critical not only for initial diagnosis, but also for evaluating treatment effectiveness over time, ensuring personalized and precise patient care.
