Description

Skin Tumor Surgery at the Candiolo Cancer Institute is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin malignancies. Care is delivered through a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring the preservation of patients’ functional and aesthetic integrity.

The team specializes in the management of:

• Primary skin cancers, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma (basalioma) and squamous cell carcinoma (spinocellular carcinoma)
• Rare cutaneous neoplasms, such as cutaneous lymphomas, sarcomas and vascular tumors

All activities are performed in close collaboration with the Dermatology, Medical Oncology, Pathologic Anatomy, and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Units, ensuring a personalized, safe, and effective care pathway.

Activities

Specialists perform:

• Specialist dermatological examinations for early detection of skin cancer diseases
  
• Clinical and dermatoscopic diagnosis of pigmented lesions of the skin
  
• Surgical treatment of cutaneous neoplasms, on an outpatient, day surgery or inpatient basis, depending on the complexity of the procedure
  
• Clinical and instrumental follow-up of treated patients
  
• Laser surgery for the management of cutaneous precancerosis
