Dr. Veronica Perlo received her medical degree from the University of Turin in 1998 and her residency in Anesthesia, Resuscitation and Pain Therapy in 2002 from the same university. He received a Diploma in Acupuncture from the Turin School of Acupuncture in 2013 and a Master’s Degree in Bioethics from the University of Turin in 2022.
From 2002 to 2011, he worked at San Giovanni Bosco Hospital in Turin, within the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Service directed by Dr. S. Livigni, dealing mainly with intensive care and emergency room activities. During that period he helped initiate and develop the “Open Resuscitation” project.
From 2011 to 2025, he served at the AOU City of Health and Science of Turin – Molinette Hospital, in the Department of Pain Therapy and Palliative Care, where since 2022 he has held the position of Head of the Simple Structure of Antalgic Neuromodulation Techniques. Since October 2025, he has been working at IRCCS Candiolo in the Pain Therapy and Palliative Care Service.
Throughout her practice, Dr. Perlo has been responsible for implementing the multidisciplinary and multiprofessional organizational model characteristic of the facilities where she has served, applying different diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for various types of pain. Experience in the use of complementary medicine, such as acupuncture and hypnotic communication, has enabled her to acquire and develop more articulate interpersonal and communication skills, which are fundamental to the management of the patient with pain and his or her family, even in the terminal stages of life.
