Dr. Enrico Checcucci graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin, where he also received his residency in Urology and, in 2022, his Master’s Degree in Advanced Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery in Urology. In 2014, he served as a clinical research fellow at King’s College London – Guy’s Hospital.

He has significant clinical and research experience in uro-oncology, with a focus on innovative diagnostics for prostate cancer, having performed more than 600 targeted prostate biopsies (fusion biopsy). He has participated in more than 500 laparoscopic and robotic surgeries with Professor Francesco Porpiglia’s team and is certified as “first assistant” for the Da Vinci Single Port (SP) robot. He also does endoscopic surgery of the lower and upper excretory tracts (treatment of renal, ureteral, and bladder stones, bladder cancer, and prostate adenoma).
It is also qualified for focused ultrasound treatment (HIFU), and Aquabeam/Aquablation hydroablative robotic treatment.

Since 2020, he has been working at IRCCS Candiolo as a Urologist, and serves as Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Care Group for Urologic Neoplasms. Within the European Association of Urology (EAU), he holds numerous positions, including Past Chairman of the European Society of Residents in Urology and is a member of several committees (YAU, YUO, ESUI, GO).

Author and co-author of more than 200 scientific publications and conference papers, he has an H-index of 36.
