Dr. Edoardo Cisero is a physician specializing in urology. He received his medical degree from the University of Turin with honors, dignity of press and honorable mention for his career, with a thesis on the use of PET-PSMA in the restadition of prostate cancer. He received his residency in Urology from the same university, with a thesis devoted to the use of PET-PSMA in the pre-surgical staging of prostate cancer.
He currently serves as a consultant urologist at IRCCS Candiolo, collaborating with the Department of Urology headed by Prof. Francesco Porpiglia.
Focuses on urologic and andrologic, oncologic, and benign diseases, with emphasis on the use of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, including surgery.
The main areas of clinical interest include:
- Treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy with new generation endoscopic techniques (Aquablation, Rezum, TPLA);
- Early diagnosis of prostate cancer by advanced imaging (3D MRI with artificial intelligence support, PET with next-generation radio-tracers) and robotic fusion biopsy systems;
- Minimally invasive focal treatment of prostate cancer by diode laser (TFLA);
- Use of 3D image fusion systems, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence in robotic renal and prostate surgery.
Since 2018, he has also been active in scientific research in urology, with publications and contributions presented at national and international congresses.
