Dr. Matteo Gagliasso graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin. He subsequently specialized in Thoracic Surgery at the San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital in Orbassano and continued his training in various European centers and in Shanghai.

His professional activity was carried out at the Thoracic Surgery department of the Giovanni Bosco Hospital in Turin.

Since 2026, he has been working at the Candiolo Cancer Institute IRCCS, where he is a member of the Thoracic Oncological Surgery team.

He has performed more than 450 surgical procedures using both minimally invasive and traditional techniques.

His scientific activity focuses on thoracic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, the ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) pathway, and integrated oncology.

He is an active member of the ESTS (European Society of Thoracic Surgeons), the Italian societies SIET (Società Italiana di Endoscopia Toracica) and SICT (Società Italiana di Chirurgia Toracica), and AMIAR (Medical Association for the Teaching of Acupuncture and Reflextherapies).

He is the author and co-author of approximately 40 conference presentations and scientific publications.
