EXCELLENCE IN CANCER CARE

The Candiolo Institute specializes in the treatment of oncological diseases. It is part of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Oncology Network, and is an international reference center.

It is the only oncology IRCCS (a Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Healthcare),a top-tier in Italian health institutions in the Piedmont region recognized by the Ministry of Health, and since 2022 it has been certified by the European Organization of Cancer Institutes (OECI) as a Comprehensive Cancer Centre, a title that attests to its ability to offer integrated, multidisciplinary care, from diagnosis to treatment to psychological support. A number of specialized multidisciplinary programs for diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases are active at the Candiolo Institute. Integration between the different competencies makes it possible to address the complex issues of oncological diseases, from diagnosis to treatment planning to follow-up strategies, to achieve the best clinical outcomes combined with safeguarding quality-of-life profiles.

Shuttle service

There is a free shuttle service between Candiolo train station and the Institute, operating Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with rides coinciding with trains on the SFM2 line.

The Institute is also easily accessible by car, with free parking available, by bus with stops nearby, and by air via train connections from Turin Porta Susa. For details on schedules and routes, please consult local transportation sites.

Where to stay

The institute offers patients and their families the opportunity to stay near the institute, providing comfortable accommodation during the treatment period.

Casa di Accoglienza La Madonnina ONLUS, located in Candiolo, provides 27 rooms and equipped common spaces for guests in need of temporary housing. The facility is designed to provide a serene and functional environment, with amenities such as shared kitchen, laundry, and relaxation areas.
