Prof. Anna Sapino, Scientific Director of the Candiolo Institute (FPO-IRCCS), graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin and later specialized in Pathological Anatomy at the University of Milan.
She is a full professor of Pathologic Anatomy and has served as Director of the Assistant Department of Laboratory Medicine at the AOU City of Health and Science of Turin and Director of the Department of Medical Sciences at the University of Turin. She was president of the Italian Society of Anatomic Pathology and Cytology (SIAPeC) and a member of the Higher Health Council.
From 2015 to 2025, she served as the Director of Pathology Anatomy at IRCCS Candiolo.
He is president of the Italian Institute of Medical Genomics.
She has authored and coauthored more than 400 scientific publications with more than 19,000 citations and an HI of 75.
