Dr. Giovanni Cappello received his medical degree from the University of Catania, Italy, and subsequently completed his residency in radiodiagnostics at the University of Turin, Italy, while furthering his knowledge of oncology imaging at MSKCC in New York for seven months.
Since 2020, he has been working at IRCCS Candiolo, where he is among the members of the Radiodiagnostics team and is responsible for the reporting of radiological investigations, with particular interest in multi-parametric MRI of the prostate and CT in the context of clinical trials with application of specific criteria to evaluate response to therapy (e.g., RECIST 1.1).
He is chairman of the youth committee and member of the education committee of ESOI (European Society of Oncologic Imaging) and member of the youth committee of ESR (European Society of Radiology).
He is the author and co-author of about 30 scientific publications and several papers at national and international conferences.
