Dr. Simona Cauda graduated from the University of Turin in 2008 with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, and later completed her residency in Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital “City of Health and Science” of Turin in 2014.
During his years of study, he also trained at other hospitals in Turin (Ospedale Mauriziano and San Luigi Gonzaga in Orbassano). In March 2022, he received the SIUMB National Diploma of Competence in Clinical Ultrasound.
Since 2015, he has been working at IRCCS Candiolo, where he is among the members of the Nuclear Medicine team, a member of the interdisciplinary care group (GIC) for gastroenterological and head and neck cancers, and is also a member of the study group within the Oncology Network of Piedmont and Aosta Valley regarding head and neck and pancreatic cancers, actively participating in the drafting of regional PDTAs.
He has extensive experience in Medical-Nuclear Imaging techniques with various Nuclides and Radiopharmaceuticals particularly in the field of oncology and practices PET (with 18F-FDG, 18F-Choline, 18F-PSMA, 18F-fluciclovine) and scintigraphic (bone scintigraphies with HDP, perfusion lung scintigraphies, lymphoscintigraphies for breast neoplasms and melanoma, upper and lower limb lymphoscintigraphies, and thyroid scintigraphies) diagnostic examinations. Experience in therapeutic field (radioembolization with radioactive microspheres for the treatment of hepatocarcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and hepatic secondary disease).
She has authored and coauthored scientific publications and papers at national and international conferences.
