At the Candiolo Institute came the PET CT – GE OMNI LEGEND, a state-of-the-art technology found in only a few centers in Italy.
This tool represents a major step forward in the development of diagnostic imaging in our Institute. For patients, it means being able to deal with a faster and less invasive examination, with significantly shorter acquisition times and reduced exposure to ionizing radiation. The superior image quality also allows the detection of smaller lesions at an earlier stage, a decisive clinical advantage for timely and accurate diagnoses.
From a technological perspective, PET-CT integrates advanced AI algorithms for patient positioning and image reconstruction, ensuring greater accuracy and safety.
Thanks to the support of the Piedmont Foundation for Cancer Research, the Candiolo IRCCS Institute, with the introduction of this new equipment, confirms its commitment to combining research and innovation to concretely improve the quality of care.
