Dr. Alfredo Mellano

Dr. Alfredo Mellano received his medical degree from the University of Turin, where he later specialized in General Surgery.
He has practiced in Turin (Ospedale Mauriziano Umberto I and Molinette) and Candiolo (Candiolo Institute, FPO-IRCCS).
Since 2011, he has been working as a Medical Director at IRCCS Candiolo among the members of the Oncology Surgery team. He has more than 3,000 General Surgery procedures to his credit, also using the most modern robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques in the areas of Colorectal Surgery, Hepatobiliopancreatic Surgery and Oncologic Surgery in general.
He is a member of surgical societies such as ACOI (Association of Italian Hospital Surgeons) and SICO (Italian Society of Oncologic Surgery).
He has authored and co-authored about 50 scientific publications and numerous papers at national and international conferences.
