Dr. Elisabetta Brizio graduated from the University of Turin with a degree in Medicine and Surgery and subsequently completed her specialisation in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy at the same university.
Over the years, she carried out her professional activity at Savigliano Hospital (ASL CN1), where she has been the Head of the Intensive Care Unit since 2022.
She served as the GIVITI (Italian Group for the Evaluation of Interventions in Intensive Care, affiliated with the Mario Negri Institute in Milan) liaison for the Savigliano Intensive Care Unit and for the south-western area of the Piedmont Region. Within GIVITI, from 2018 to 2022 she was also a member of the Infections Surveillance Group.
Since 2020, she has been the coordinator for organ and tissue donation for the northern area of ASL CN1, promoting the culture of donation at both hospital and community level, and working with schools and municipalities in the Province of Cuneo.
Since 2026, she has been working at the Istituto di Candiolo IRCCS as Head of the Intensive Care Unit.
