Dr. Giovanni Maina graduated from the University of Turin with a degree in Medicine and Surgery and later completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same university.
Over the years, he has been practicing in Turin: first as medical director at Sant’Anna Hospital and later as head of the Colposcopy Unit and Laser Center at the same hospital.
Since 2021, he has been working as a consultant at IRCCS Candiolo, where he is in charge of the diagnosis and therapy of the female distal genital tract. He has more than 2000 laser, radiofrequency, cold blade surgery of CIN, VAIN, VIN and vulvar Ca to his credit.
He has been director of courses for gynecologists and midwives in screening organized by the Piedmont Region. From 2014 to 2017, he served as GISCI National Coordinator. From 2017 to 2021, he was responsible for the CRR cervical screening for the Piedmont Region.
He is the author and co-author of about 100 scientific publications and papers at national and international conferences and a speaker at various conferences workshops and courses.
