Professor Pier Franco Conte is full professor at the University of Padua and scientific director of IRCCS San Camillo in Venice from March 2022.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery, he specialized in Oncology at the University of Turin and was full professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and later at the University of Padua.
For the Candiolo IRCCS, he has been serving as a consulting oncologist since 2024.
He is the author of more than 500 publications in high-profile international journals, and has received several scientific awards, including the Claude Jacquillat Award for Achievement in Clinical Oncology (2007), the “Stars of the Phoenix in the World” decoration for scientific excellence (2014), and the Award of the Italian Association for Medical Oncology for Promotion of Clinical Research in Italy (2018).
He is also a member of scientific societies such as AIOM, ESMO, ASCO and president of the Periplo Foundation.
