Dr. Sara Casella graduated from the University of Tor Vergata with a degree in Medicine and Surgery and later completed her residency in Pathologic Anatomy at the same university. He received his master’s degree in Pediatric Pathology from La Sapienza University.
Over the years, he has carried out his professional activities between Carrara (USL Toscana Nord-Ovest) and Alessandria (Civil Hospital) and at Einstein Medical Center of Philadelphia (USA) as a J1 Research Scholar, with the project Performance of new (CRBP-1) and established (oncotype Dx DCIS) biomarkers in Ductal Carcinoma In Situ of the Breast.
Since 2025 he has been working at IRCCS Candiolo, where he is among the members of the Pathology Anatomy Service. It deals preferentially with breast pathology diagnostics, and complements skin and genito-urinary diagnostics. He is a member of the Italian Melanoma Intergroup and the Italian Society of Anatomic Pathology and Cytology (SIAPEC).
Actively participates in the Study Groups of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Oncology Network. She has authored and coauthored scientific publications in international journals.
