Dr. Sara Miano graduated summa cum laude in Medicine from the University of Turin in 2012, then in 2019 she received her residency with honors in Medical Oncology from the same university.
After specialization, he began his clinical and research activities at IRCCS Candiolo, participating as a Sub Investigator in phase III clinical trials in the field of soft tissue and bone sarcomas.
From 2020 to 2025, he continued his professional career at the Department of Medical Oncology of the AOU City of Health and Science of Turin, focusing in particular on the uptake and treatment of breast cancer and participating as a Sub Investigator in phase III clinical trials.
Since 2025, she has returned to IRCCS Candiolo, where she serves as Medical Director at the Oncology Day Hospital, working within the Breast Unit. In this context, he actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to define integrated diagnostic-therapeutic pathways and participates as PrincipalInvestigator and Sub Investigator in phase I and III clinical trials dedicated to breast cancer.
During his activity, he has worked within the Oncology Network of Piedmont and Aosta Valley, actively participating in the drafting of the Diagnostic Therapeutic Care Health Pathway (PSDTA) of breast cancer, and since 2023 he has been coordinating the Study Group “Bone metastases: proposals for an organizational model and a diagnostic-therapeutic care health pathway” within the same Network.
Dr. Miano is an author and coauthor of scientific publications, as well as a speaker at conferences, improvement groups and advisory boards.
He is an active member of leading oncology scientific societies, including AIOM (Italian Association of Medical Oncology), ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) and AIGOM (Italian Association of Multidisciplinary Oncology Groups)
