Dr. Teresa Staiano

Dr. Teresa Staiano graduated from the University of Naples “Federico II” with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, where she later specialized in Gastroenterology.

Between 2005 and 2018, he worked in a highly specialized professional position and as Deputy Director of the Complex Operative Unit of Digestive Endoscopy and Gastroenterology of the Azienda Istituti Ospitalieri di Cremona and later at the Complex Structure of Diagnostic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Surgery of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano (INT).

Since 2018, he has directed the Diagnostic and Interventional Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at IRCCS Candiolo. He focuses on diseases of the upper and lower digestive tract, neoplastic and pre-neoplastic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, and biliopancreatic diseases.

Performs advanced diagnostic and operative endoscopic procedures on the digestive tract , pancreas and biliary tract such as:

  • Endoscopic treatment of upper and lower digestive tract diseases (minimally invasive luminal endoscopic surgery: EMR; ESD; EID; EFTR; STER;
  • Complex bilio-pancreatic interventional surgery; enteral stenting;
  • Development of new endoscopic techniques, in diagnostic and therapeutic fields.

She is a member of the following scientific societies: European Society Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE); American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE ); Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SIED); Italian Association for the Study of the Pancreas (AISP)

He is principal investigator and co-investigator of active multicenter studies. She is the author and coauthor of scientific publications. Speaker, tutor and organizer in national and international congresses, trainings and workshops in the field of Digestive Diseases and Operative Endoscopy
