Prostate cancer: Candiolo Institute honored with “Blue Stamp” award

About 40 thousand new cases of prostate cancer are diagnosed each year in Italy, with about 500 thousand men undergoing treatment, making this neoplasm the most common cancer among men. On Jan. 16 in Milan, Fondazione Onda Ets awarded the Bollino Azzurro to 156 hospitals throughout Italy, recognizing facilities that follow the latest guidelines and adopt cutting-edge technologies in uro-andrology.

Prominent among the award-winning centers is our Institute, which was included in this list for its excellence of services in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of prostate cancer, with special attention to post-surgical functional complications.

This recognition, sponsored by Italy’s leading scientific societies, underscores the commitment of healthcare facilities to ensuring a high-quality, multidisciplinary approach for cancer patients.
