Prof. Massimo Aglietta received his medical degree from the University of Turin, where he also specialized in Internal Medicine and Clinical Oncology.
Until 1990 he was an assistant and then associate professor of internal medicine practicing at the Molinette Hospital.
He has been a full professor of Internal Medicine since 1990 and directed the Medical Clinic and Residency School of Internal Medicine in Novara, Italy.
Since 1996, he has returned to Turin as full professor of medical oncology, coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Oncology at the University of Turin and director of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Candiolo Institute. Since 2010, he has also served as director of the Graduate School of Medical Oncology.
Since 2021, he has been coordinator of the Piedmont Aosta Valley Oncology Network and a consultant to the Candiolo IRCCS.
He has authored more than 300 publications in international journals with clinical and translational studies on the treatment of malignancies.
